Créé à l’origine par Gerald* (Viossat), illustrateur et designer dans le milieu de la « board culture » depuis bientôt
30 ans, avec l’aide de Roma* (Romain Limacher, graphiste et web designer)
Green Cat est un studio indépendant dont la vocation est à l’origine de proposer des créations graphiques originales. Aprés avoir travaillé entre la France et la Californie pendant 20 ans pour de nombreuses marques de snowboard, surf, skate, sportswear et accessoires, ainsi que pour des artistes (affiches de concerts, tee-shirts, stickers, pochettes de disques, posters, etc...)
Le studio se mue également en une petite maison d’édition (dans le but de pouvoir publier à compte d’auteur l’important patrimoine graphique lié à son histoire).
Puis également en un micro label de musique, toujours avec la même volonté:
Etre 100% indépendant et ne faire aucune concession dans la démarche artistique choisie...
Le label accompagne le groupe Mary G & The Spring Folk Orchestra depuis bientôt 15 ans, le studio se chargeant de tout l’environnement graphique, un aspect faisant partie intégrante du concept de ce groupe dont la volonté assumée est de continuer à perpétuer une culture musicale et esthétique intègre et de qualité.
Ces deux aspects étant indissociables pour tous ceux qui ont connu cet âge d’or de la fin du 20ème siècle...
Bien que le Green Cat Studio travaille encore pour de nombreux acteurs du secteur, le destin des deux entités est désormais lié dans la volonté de produire de belles choses.
C’est pourquoi vous trouverez sur ce site, en plus des disques du groupe, de nombreuses affiches originales (comme il se doit chaque concert des MG & TSFO a son poster) des series de tee-shirts ou de casquettes,
toujours en édition limités.
En marge de l’agitation médiatique des réseaux sociaux et de l’avènement des « intelligences artificielles »,
nous continuons le boulot... Ride on.
*Green Cat travaille étroitement avec le studio d’enregistrement Ashkomariko, fondé par Chris Barillot qui s’occupe de la partie production musicale de MG & TSFO et qui est également le bassiste du groupe.

with the help of Roma* (Romain Limacher, graphic designer and web designer) Green Cat is a studio independent whose vocation is to offer original graphic creations. After working between France and California for 20 years for numerous snowboard, surf, skate, sportswear and accessories brands, as well as for artists (concert posters, t-shirts, stickers, record covers, posters, etc.) The studio also transformed into a small publishing house (with the aim of being able to publish the important graphic heritage linked to its history on its own).
Then also into a micro music label, always with the same desire:
To be 100% independent and to make no concessions in the chosen artistic approach...
The label has been supporting the group Mary G & The Spring Folk Orchestra for almost 15 years, the studio is responsible for the entire graphic environment, an aspect that is an integral part of the concept of this group whose stated desire is to continue to perpetuate a musical and aesthetic culture of integrity and quality.
These two aspects are inseparable for all those who experienced this golden age of the end of the 20th century... Although the Green Cat Studio still works for many players in the sector, the destiny of the two entities is now linked in the desire to produce beautiful things. This is why you will find on this site, in addition to the group's records, numerous original posters (as every MG & TSFO concert has its poster), series of t-shirts or caps always in limited edition.
On the sidelines of the media agitation of social networks and the advent of “artificial intelligence”,
we continue the work... Ride on.
*Green Cat works closely with the Ashkomariko recording studio, founded by Chris Barillot who takes care of the musical production side of MG & TSFO and who is also the bassist of the group.
